Rob has done a variety of healthy things in schools, from lead sketch comedy workshops about composting to using improvisation skills to build resilience. Health-related education projects include:
School of Comedy
A whole school approach to mental wellbeing, where comedy, improvisation
and creativity are embedded to support confidence, listening skills and
resiliance. Delivered in collaboration with BrightSparks Arts in Mental
Health and De Montfort University.
Ditch the Chips
Comedy sketches written and performed by Key Stage 2 children, based around the themes of healthy eating and regular exercise.
Teenage Sexual Health Comedy DVD
A comedy sexual health DVD made by year 10 students for for the amusement and education of other year 10 students near and far.
Shyning
Sketch comedy and improvisation workshops with key stage 3 students identified as being reluctant speakers.
Smoking Comedy
Comedy sketches written, performed and filmed by Key Stage 2 children about the impacts of smoking.
Leicester Hospitals Heritage Project
Comic verse written with key stage 2 children based on artefacts from the vaults of Leicester Royal Infirmary. These poems were recorded, exhibited, published and sold.
Children's Hospital School
Writer in residence at the hospital school at the Leicester Royal Informary.
